Friends of Willy Foundation

We want to thank you for your continued generosity and support of The Friends of Willy Foundation.

As many of you know, our dad, Bill “Willy” Jurgens, was incredibly passionate about giving back. This foundation was created to carry on his legacy of kindness, compassion and community support. Thanks to you, his spirit continues to touch lives in meaningful ways.

With your support and generosity, the foundation has been able to support multiple families:

  • Each December, the foundation adopts multiple families undergoing cancer treatment at The Nebraska Medical Center and provides them with gift cards. These gifts help ease the burden during a difficult time and allow families to celebrate Christmas.

  • We will continue the legacy by hosting our annual Summer Bash at Nebraska Medical Center, a carnival-themed event for about 100 children going through cancer treatment, and their families. With games, prizes, and even a vaudeville-style performer, it’s a day filled with joy, laughter, and memories.

  • We’re proud to sponsor two children each year to attend Camp Magical Moments, an oncology camp in Swan Valley, Idaho. This week-long experience gives kids facing cancer the chance to connect, play, and be kids.

We honestly couldn’t do any of this without you. Your generosity brings light and hope to families when they need it most.
